← Back to news & insight

AFL Architects is delighted to share the successful completion of the Boothen Quarter, the new high-quality fan zone at Stoke City FC’s bet365 Stadium. The fan zone, which officially opened its doors on Saturday, marks the culmination of two years of meticulous design, planning, consultation, and development.

Location and Features of the Boothen Quarter

Situated adjacent to the North Car Park at the Boothen End of the stadium, the Boothen Quarter welcomed supporters for the first time during Stoke City's Championship opener against Coventry City. This vibrant and dynamic space has been designed to accommodate up to 1,500 fans and offers an array of features, including a 41.5M² LED screen, a performance stage for live entertainment, diverse food vendors, bars, covered areas for socializing, and ample restroom facilities.

A Key Component of Stoke City’s Development Plan

The £1.5 million Boothen Quarter project is a significant component of a broader £30 million, five-year development program at the bet365 Stadium and Clayton Wood training ground, which was announced in 2022. The fan zone aims to enhance the matchday experience by offering fans a unique venue where they can gather before and after games to enjoy entertainment, food, and beverages in a lively and engaging environment.

Architectural Design and Conceptualization by AFL

AFL Architects provided the design and concept for the Boothen Quarter, focusing on creating a versatile space that serves both matchday and non-matchday purposes. The design reflects a balance between functionality and fan experience, aligning with the club’s long-term development goals at the bet365 Stadium.
