Since breaking ground in mid-November, contractors Speller Metcalfe have completed site excavations, laid foundations, and erected the structural steel frame. Now that the building’s form is visible, the vision behind the design is beginning to take shape.
A Training Environment Designed for the Modern Game
Strengthening the Future of Stoke City
This new pavilion is the first phase of a £12 million investment in the Club’s training ground. Scheduled for completion in December, it will be followed by a second phase, a refurbishment of the existing building, which will become a dedicated home for Stoke City’s Category One Academy and women’s team.
AFL Architects has a long-standing relationship with Stoke City, previously working on stadium upgrades and training ground developments. This latest project continues that work, ensuring the Club’s facilities evolve to meet the highest standards in professional football.
Raising the Bar for Training Facilities
With enhanced performance, rehabilitation, gym, nutrition, and sports science spaces, the new facility will set a new benchmark for player development. It represents the Club’s most significant investment in a single project since the construction of the bet365 Stadium in 1997.
As construction continues, the vision for this high-performance environment is coming to life, one that will shape the future of Stoke City’s players for years to come.
