The five training complex buildings are world-class, with two full-size indoor pitches, teaching, rehabilitation, conference and other supporting facilities for the first team, reserves, and academy teams. In addition to meeting the needs of professional football clubs, it will also serve as a training and competition venue for primary and middle school students.
The design combines 23 training pitches with a 5,000-seat competition stand, and separate community facilities.
Buildings have curving, undulating facades, clad in ribbons of stone, glazing and bronze panels, to create a dynamic, streamlined appearance.
The ribbons express the accommodation zones of the buildings, with training areas at pitch level, and with bedrooms and private areas above. Major spaces within buildings face the pitches so that players feel motivated and engaged with their training environment. Green roofs and below ground water storage assist the green credentials of the development.
